I've been trying out the video formats that the Asus eeepc will play back and so far have discovered the following:

Will play back

.mpg

.avi

.3gp (although the file manager won't show the file! However, if you go to the Media Player and browse for all files (not just video), the 3gp files show up and you can play them!)

.wmv

Won't play

.mov

Not sure about the other file formats, will have to experiment or hope other people test it out and add to this wiki.
